2009: SHARC's in the Park.... ARRL Field Day

Shack Hoppers,
Amateur Radio Communicators
Celebrate First Year.
The 2008 Matamoras Hamfest marked the first anniversary of birth of SHARC. It was at the 2007 Tri-State Amateur Radio Association's Hamfest, in Airport Park, on August 12th, 2007 , that the idea became reality.
Built on the word of a few good amateurs, inspired by a deep love of this wonderful hobby, and dedicated to investing time and energy to assuring a bright future for all amateurs, SHARC was born.
It has been a great first year;
- Hopping visits
- Dayton, taken in force
- Field Day at the Creek, enjoyed by all
- World Wide Exposure (WBCQ transmission)
- Tower and Antenna Raisings
- Ground field installations
- Rig and Computer repairs
- and more
The Shack Hoppers returned to Matamoras, PA Sunday to look back on this eventful first year, and renew our committment to the amateur radio community in the county, state, nation, and world. A fine time was had by all, concluding with a great breakfast at the Milford Diner.
